I have to say that I did not do much today. I am coming down with a cold, so I tried to rest as much as possible. Just my luck to get a cold on an incredible trip. I guess it could be worse.
Well, as fate would have it, I received a text as I was making my last comment asking me what you could bring me back from Italy... here is what I told her, because this is truly what my heart feels....
"My gosh! My best gift I have already gotten...him making this journey on his own, his amazing blog and his friendship. Just tell him to come home safe and sound."

but if you find a nice wooden spoon (or any kind of spoon), I'd be happy to stir in Italian love into my cooking and dream of Europe because of you. : )
I hope you feel well soon. You are covering a lot of miles in enclosed spaces with others. Not surprised that you picked up a cold. Just rest. I know - I am sounding like your mother again!
But you have ITALIAN GERMS!!! Not everyone can say they've had those!! Somehow even an Italian cold sounds somewhat romantic!!!
